When did Jesus Christ actually hand the Church over to Saint Peter? Like when does Peter actually become the guy, the visible leader?
Most people jump straight to the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 16 moment. You know the scene. Peter says, “You are the Christ,” and Jesus is like, “Boom. You’re Peter, the rock. I’m giving you the keys.” That’s a huge deal. No question. Name change, keys, authority. That’s not small stuff.
