The Israeli army has stated that it has replaced the crucifix that one of its soldiers defaced in Lebanon. The IDF has expressed deep regret over the incident and is working to ensure that it does not happen again.
The former crucifix was a 1000x's better than this modernist version. They have the $$$ to get an actual replacement.

While they kill Christians they pretend they are outraged over smashing a Crucifix. I won't be surprised that soldier was rewarded but warned not to be seen on camera next time. That's how Israel works.

The IDF was caught red-handed and so they went into spin control. If a picture hadn't been taken of the incident, they would have simply denied it. Since the picture is real, they say." So sorry, won't happen again". It's all optics to them.
