«Se iniziassi dicendo: “Miei cari amici, tutto sta andando a meraviglia”, immagino che controllerebbero immediatamente se fossi stato sostituito da un dipendente dell’ufficio stampa del Vaticano».
«I cattolici oggi si dividono in due gruppi. Ci sono coloro che pensano che la Chiesa stia vivendo una primavera senza precedenti e coloro che hanno effettivamente esaminato le statistiche.»

And indeed, if I were beginning by saying, ‘My dear friends, everything is going splendidly,’ I suspect that you would immediately check whether I have been replaced by an employee of the communications department of the Vatican. 3 categories the 3rd being those who are quite well aware of the statistics and rejoice and are glad. Plainly they are not Catholic but no one is calling them out on their apostasy.

„Keby som začal slovami: ‚Drahí priatelia, všetko ide skvele,‘ mám podozrenie, že by ste si hneď overili, či ma nenahradil zamestnanec oddelenia komunikácie Vatikánu.“
„Dnešní katolíci sa delia na dve skupiny. Sú tí, ktorí si myslia, že Cirkev prežíva bezprecedentnú jar, a tí, ktorí sa skutočne pozreli na štatistiky.“
