Preliminary Recourse of FSSPX Rejected: The Vatican’s deadline to respond to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X (FSSPX) regarding its preliminary recourse against the July 2 decree declaring six bishops automatically excommunicated has now passed, notes @Michael Haynes The FSSPX submitted its recourse to the Holy See on July 11. Under canon law, the competent authority had 30 days to respond. With that period now expired without a decision, the FSSPX can proceed to the next stage of its canonical challenge.
