Cardinal Ruini's Testament: "Francis Reopened Wounds"

MessaInLatino.it published today the spiritual testament of Cardinal Camillo Ruini, signed on June 3, 2016. He died on June 16, 2026 at the age of 95.
Cardinal Ruini's testament is a personal reflection on his life, giving thanks to God for his family, vocation, and ministry in the Church.
More than 90% of the sentences are written in the first person singular, with verbs such as ringrazio ('I thank'), confesso ('I confess'), ho cercato ('I have tried'), and sono stato ('I have been') making Ruini the grammatical subject in nearly every sentence. The testament provides a detailed account of his family life, his work as a priest and bishop, his collaborations, and his public importance. A sympathetic reading of his frequent use of first-person pronouns (I, me, my, mine) might suggest that spiritual testaments traditionally belong to an autobiographical and introspective literary genre.
The paragraph that focuses least on himself is the best one, dealing with Pope Francis's pontificate: …Zêde

US Cardinal: Leo XIV Deepens Francis' Outreach to Homosexuals

The homosexual group Outreach, founded and led by the homosexual activist James Martin SJ, organises its annual conference on June 19-21 at the Jesuit-run Georgetown University. From 2021 to 2024, Francis sent an endorsement message.
In 2026, two US Cardinals support the homosexual conference. Outreach published endorsement letters by Cardinal Robert McElroy of Washington and Cardinal Blase Cupich of Chicago (below).
Cardinal McElroy wrote on June 19 that he is “delighted” to welcome the homosexual group in Washington, adding: “For I know that the Holy Spirit will be profoundly present in our meetings and discussions at this key time in the history of our Church and our nation.”
He wrote that the conference is taking place “at a moment when the pastoral foundations laid by Pope Francis for authentic ministry to and with the LGBT community are being deepened and refined by Pope Leo.”
Cardinal McElroy further stressed that the conference comes “directly after the release of Study …Zêde

Argentine Bishops Thank God for the 'Courage' of an Abortion Activist

The Argentine Bishops' Conference issued a tribute to the abortion activist Taty Almeida, 95, following her death on June 14.
In a June 15 statement signed by Archbishop Marcelo Colombo, president of the conference, and Bishop Raúl Pizarro, secretary general, the bishops sarcastically praised Almeida's "historic commitment to human rights". They even “thanked God for sustaining her courage”.
Almeida was one of Argentina's best-known “human-rights” activists. She was a longtime member of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo movement about people who disappeared during Argentina's military dictatorship.
The bishops' statement ignored her support for abortion.
Almeida publicly supported Argentina's abortion movement. She frequently appeared wearing the green scarf that became the symbol of the campaign for legal abortion and backed the effort that led to abortion legalization in 2020.
Almeida was closely associated with sectors of the Argentine caviar left and often appeared alongside progressive …Zêde

Many World Cup Fans Would Rather Skip the Hydration Breaks
It’s hot in North America in June, but fans are griping that the breaks that have been added to each half are an excuse for the networks to show more ads.
nytimes.com/2026/06/18/us/world-cup-hydration-bre…
By Victor Mather June 18, 2026
The “hydration breaks” that have been added to World Cup matches have not been met with universal acclaim from players and fans, not least because some TV networks are using them to squeeze in extra ads.
It’s hot in much of North America in June, and in some places very hot. So it would seem natural that players at the World Cup, currently underway in the United States, Mexico and Canada, get quick breaks to grab a drink in the middle of each half.
But the pauses have not been broadly popular. Beside annoyance over the extra ads, fans are upset that the flow of the game is interrupted, and some believe that the team they are rooting for can somehow lose “momentum” as a result of the break. …Zêde

The Eucharist, Altar Rails, and the Dignity of Catholics | The Devil Cannot Kneel ~ Fr. Perricone
Why do Catholics kneel before receiving Holy Communion? Why did altar rails once stand in nearly every Catholic church? And what does kneeling reveal about our dignity as children of God? In this powerful sermon, we are reminded that no man stands taller than when he kneels before Almighty God. Drawing from Sacred Scripture, the teachings of St. John Paul II, G.K. Chesterton, and the wisdom of the Desert Fathers, this sermon explores the profound meaning of kneeling in Eucharistic worship. From St. Peter falling to his knees before Christ, to Mary Magdalene weeping at the Savior's feet, to St. Thomas proclaiming "My Lord and My God," Catholics throughout history have understood that kneeling is the proper response before the King of Glory. The sermon concludes with a striking story from the Desert Fathers concerning Satan himself—a reminder of the eternal significance of humility, adoration …Zêde

Canadian Leader: 'The New World Order Will Be Built Starting with Europe' - Slay News

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is once again drawing scrutiny after openly promoting what he calls “the new world order,” while deepening ties with global institutions and advancing policies that threaten national sovereignty and individual freedoms.
Speaking to reporters ahead of the G7 summit, Carney suggested that nations can no longer rely on traditional alliances or independent institutions in what he described as a rapidly changing global landscape.
“What one can’t do at this point in a rapidly shifting world order is to rely on one set of institutions, one grouping, one country to provide the answers,” Carney said while traveling through County Mayo, Ireland, on June 14.
The remarks came just one day after Carney delivered an even more striking message in Dublin, declaring that a “new world order” would be built through closer integration with Europe.

Catholic bishops of England and Wales react to reintroduction of assisted suicide bill

The Catholic bishops of England and Wales are “deeply disappointed” that an assisted suicide bill will again be back in Parliament, calling instead for improvements in palliative care.
On Wednesday, Labour member of Parliament (MP) Lauren Edwards
reintroduced the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, which passed a vote in the House of Commons in June 2025 but failed to pass the House of Lords when it ran out of time in April.
The bill today received its first reading in the House of Commons, officially marking the return of the bill in Westminster.
Responding to the news that it would be reintroduced, in a June 15 statement Archbishop John Sherrington of Liverpool, lead bishop for life issues at the Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales, expressed his deep disappointment and criticized the “flawed” legislation, saying: “The Catholic Church opposes this bill in principle and joins with many other people of faith and none in arguing that we should not cross this watershed.” …

FELLAY AND GALARATTA WILL BE EXCOMMUNICATED A SECOND TIME WITH LG 16 VISIBLE: WITH LG 16 INVISIBLE FERNANDEZ IS IN SCHISM. NO CORRECTION YET FROM THE SSPX.

19.06.2026
FELLAY AND GALARATTA WILL BE EXCOMMUNICATED A SECOND TIME WITH LG 16 VISIBLE: WITH LG 16 INVISIBLE FERNANDEZ IS IN SCHISM. NO CORRECTION YET FROM THE SSPX.
You make a mistake once. You do not repeat it again after being informed. The SSPX bishops Fellay and Galaretta were excommunicated with Vatican Council II interpreted irrationally i.e. with Lumen Gentium 16, allegedly physically visible and not invisible. So there were explicit exceptions for Tradition (EENS, Athanasius Creed, ecumenism of return of the Syllabus, traditional ecclesiocentric mission etc).
Cardinal Ratzinger chose LG 16 visible. So Tradition was made obsolete and the SSPX bishops excommunicated.
The same two bishops are now going to be excommunicated with Vatican Council II irrational, with LG 16 visible and not invisible. LG 8, 14, 16 refer to physically visible non Catholics saved outside the Church without faith and baptism, in the present times for Pope Leo.

The SSPX bishops did not protest the …Zêde

Monday, 19th May 1913 Burns Agent Outlines Phagan Theory
Monday, May 19th, 1913
Famous Detective's Aid, C. W. Tobie, Issues First Statement on Work in Slaying Case.
C. W. Tobie, manager of the criminal department of the W. J. Burns Detective Agency, Monday made public his theory of the murder of Mary Phagan. For the first time the man who is representing Burns in Atlanta's greatest mystery until the noted detective arrived consented to see reporters.
Tobie's theory is that Mary Phagan was murdered inside the National Pencil plant, by some one familiar with the premises, and that her body was dragged to the basement for purposes of concealment and probably destruction. He scouted the idea she was killed on the outside and dragged inside, and declared that too much buncombe has been given out by men who have only muddled the waters.
While no new arrests are expected immediately, Tobie declared the mystery is not all impossible of solution, and that the guilty man will be apprehended in …

Homosexual UK Couple Convicted of Murdering and Abusing Adopted Toddler

A former teacher and his homosexual partner, a financial sales manager, have been convicted at Preston Crown Court, Lancashire, of murdering and sexually abusing a toddler they were in the process of adopting.
Jamie Varley, 37, was found guilty of murder, two counts of assault by penetration, multiple counts of child cruelty, grievous bodily harm, and offences involving indecent images.
John McGowan-Fazakerley, 32, was convicted of causing or allowing the death of a child, child cruelty, and sexual assault.
The victim was born on June 16, 2022, at Wythenshawe Hospital in Greater Manchester. Five days later, social services placed him with foster carers under an emergency order. His mother had a long criminal record, including a murder conviction in 1998.
Varley and McGowan-Fazakerley were approved as prospective adopters in January 2023, and the boy moved into their home in April 2023.

EXCLUSIVE: Bishop Roy, Fr. Michael Mary issue statements to Integrity on upcoming consecration

S.D. Wright
June 19, 2026
'The SSPX bishops are consecrated as purely 'sacramental Bishops' ... we understand our episcopal consecrations as conferring a real episcopal power,' His Excellency said.
Bishop Roy (left) and Fr. Michael Mary (right)
Following the announcement that Bishop Pierre Roy would be consecrating Fr. Michael Mary Sim to the episcopate, Integrity Magazine reached out to both clerics for comment.
In separate statements provided to Integrity, Bishop Roy and Fr. Michael Mary offered further context and considerations behind the consecration, set to take place on July 25, as well as their understanding of the broader crisis in the Church.
We also reached out to the Diocese of Aberdeen, where Fr. Michael Mary’s order (the Sons of the Most Holy Redeemer) is located. The Diocese did not provide a comment, but the diocesan bishop, Hugh Gilbert OSB, later issued a public statement describing the consecration as “unlawful and a grave act of disobedience, separating those taking …Zêde

A Catholic engineer’s Ten Commandments for AI - LifeSite

Thu Jun 18, 2026 - 3:39 pm EDT
(
LifeSiteNews) – Bruce Sabalaskey is LifeSiteNews’s Web Development Engineer. This is the fourth part of his essay on Magnifica Humanitas and Artificial Intelligence. You can read Part I here, Part II there, and Part III here.
Part IV: Ten Catholic Commandments for AI
In Part I, I argued that Magnifica Humanitas (MH) correctly identifies many dangers of artificial intelligence. In Part II, I argued that MH’s proposed cure is deficient because it relies too heavily on dialogue, shared responsibility, institutional oversight, global management, and modern social-doctrine language while failing to ground the response clearly in Divine law, natural law, the Ten Commandments, and the salvation of souls. In Part III, I offered a proposal for what people of good will, using reason alone and natural law, could recognize about the proper use of AI and the restrictions that should be placed upon it. Now, in Part IV, I’ll be addressing Revelation.
The natural …

NIAMEY, Niger (AP) — Niger’s military junta announced a new penal code that criminalizes homosexuality, an adviser to the justice minister said Friday.
The West African nation is the latest to criminalize homosexuality, following
similar measures earlier this year in Senegal.
The new penal code punishes anyone who “commits or attempts to commit an immodest or unnatural act or practices lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-gender, Queer, intersex, Asexual (LGBTQIA+) acts” with between five and 10 years in prison and a fine, according to the text of the new penal code.
“This same penalty is applicable to persons who officiated the marriage, to the witnesses of the alleged spouses, as well as to persons who have given their consent for the celebration of the marriage and to the …
