Prof. Bray’s “Christianity in Britain and Ireland” Reformed Theology (#3951): Prof. Bray’s “Christianity in Britain and Ireland” Psalm 119.8: I will keep Your statutes; Oh, do not forsake me utterly! Prof. Bray continues to discuss the history of Christianity in Britain and Ireland, particularly the efforts of Malachy to reform the Irish church in the 12th century. He discussed Malachy's consecration, his friendship with Bernard of Clairvaux, and his establishment of Cistercian monasteries in Ireland. The reorganization of Irish dioceses was a key topic, along with the challenges posed by small, poor dioceses and political disunity. The session also covered the Anglo-Norman invasion of Ireland and its impact on the church, as well as the ongoing debate about papal authorization for English rule. In Scotland, the development of the church was influenced by English and Norman practices, with figures like Queen Margaret and King David I playing significant roles. The meeting highlighted …More
Leo XIV: "Faith Is Not Given Once and for All" At today’s Angelus, Leo XIV appeared to blur the distinction between the objective content of the Faith and its subjective appropriation: “Faith is not something given to us once and for all. Rather, we continually need to rediscover the face of Christ.” He then urged the faithful not to retreat into religious certainties, adding: “When it comes to the Christian faith, we may be content with […] what has been handed down to us.” Instead, Leo advocated “friendship with Jesus” through an “ever-new encounter”: “This may also ask us to follow unfamiliar paths and to make choices different from those we had imagined. This is true both for our personal journey and for the journey of the Church, as well as for our pastoral choices, when we may sometimes think that it is enough simply to continue doing things as we have always done them.”
Two short video quotes from today's Angelus: Leo XIV offers unusual definitions of faith, suggesting that focusing on what has been handed down to us is insufficient.
The ART of deceit to mislead the Faithful. Many consecrated will break the Vows they made with God and embrace what is abominable. 1) Genesis 3: 1-4,6; The serpent was the most cunning of all the animals of the field that Yahweh God had made. And he said to the woman, “How is it that God has said to you, ‘You shall not eat from any of the trees of the garden’?” The woman replied to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden. But as for the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the garden, God has said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it, or you will DIE.’” The serpent said to the woman, “YOU WILL NOT DIE”. When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, pleasing to the eye, and desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some of its fruit and ate it; she also gave some to her husband, and he ate it. 2) Proverbs 6:16-17: "A lying tongue" and "a false witness who lies with every breath" among the seven things God detests. 3) John 8:44; You belong to your father,…More
Wąż rzekł do kobiety: „NIE UMRZECIE”. Jana 8:44: „Wy należycie do waszego ojca, diabła, i chcecie spełniać pragnienia waszego ojca. On był mordercą od samego początku i nie trwał w prawdzie, ponieważ nie ma w nim prawdy; kiedy mówi kłamstwo, mówi …More

The Safety Valve of the Holy Spirit: How Vatican II’s "Pastoral" Shield Preserved the Faith For sixty years, the Catholic faithful have been told to bow before a new deity: the elusive, shape-shifting "Spirit of Vatican II." We have been assured that the twenty-first ecumenical council was a rupture, a foundational reboot that dragged a reluctant, medieval Church into the glorious light of modern progressivism. From ecumenical syncretism to the near-total dismantling of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the progressive wing of the Church has weaponized the Council's documents to construct a brand-new religion on the ashes of the old. But their revolution possesses a fatal, architectural flaw. In their haste to remake the Church in the image of the secular world, the architects of this modern experiment forgot a fundamental rule of Catholic theology. By explicitly, repeatedly, and formally defining the Second Vatican Council as a strictly pastoral council, the Popes of the mid-twentieth …More
Monsignor Anthony Spinosa, 75, a Maronite Catholic priest, has been accused of engaging in a public homosexual act with registered sex offender Kenneth Kopp, 54, at Perkins Park in Warren, Ohio, according to Wfmj.com. Spinosa had served since 2002 as rector of the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in North Jackson. He was elevated to the rank of "Chorbishop" (prelate) in 2016. On Thursday, he was relieved of his ministerial assignment. The allegations stem from July 31, when a couple walking their dog told police they saw Kopp on his knees allegedly performing a homosex act on Spinosa, who was smoking a cigar. They further alleged that one of the men invited them to join in and offered to let them watch for payment. According to the police report, the incident occurred "in broad daylight," about 100 meters from a playground where children were present. Police subsequently found Kopp in a Honda Civic near a black rug and pink boots. A search of the vehicle uncovered wigs …More

Religious Sisters Suppressed After Vatican Intervention for “Being Too Traditional”: Conservative Bishop Earl K. Fernandes of Columbus has suppressed the Children of Mary, a traditional community of religious sisters (canonically, a public association of the faithful) based in Newark, Ohio. In his August 10 letter, Fernandes cites fairly general problems with formation and communal life, as well as concerns about the proper separation of the internal and external forum. He says that Rome’s Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life informed him that the community would never be approved as an institute of diocesan right. But there’s another side: Anthony Stine, citing an anonymous source close to the community, claims that the underlying issue was that the sisters’ formation and catechesis were regarded as too traditional.

"Masons, heretics, apostates, sodomites, pro-abortionists, sexual abusers, prevaricators, atheists, fraudsters, misers, pagans, enemies of the Virgin and of Tradition... these are the members who make up the new church orchestrated by Prevost-Bergoglio, which they want to force us to accept as if it were the Church of Christ."
More than 2,300 Catholics took part in Argentina’s 17th Pilgrimage of Our Lady of Christendom from August 15–17. Inspired by the Paris–Chartres pilgrimage in France, this year’s pilgrimage set a new attendance record. The pilgrims covered approximately 100 kilometres from the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Rawson, in Buenos Aires Province, to the Basilica of Our Lady of Luján, Argentina’s national Marian shrine. Mass in the traditional Roman rite was celebrated each day at outdoor altars along the route. The traditional Mass was not permitted inside the Basilica of Our Lady of Luján. The pilgrimage instead concluded at the basilica on August 17 with Eucharistic adoration and the Rosary. Several prominent clergy took part in the pilgrimage. - Fr. Raúl Olazábal, of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, celebrated Mass on the first day, the Feast of the Assumption. - Fr. Augustin-Marie Aubry, prior of the Fraternity of Saint Vincent Ferrer in Chémeré, France, celebrated …More
There is evidence that Einstein got most of his theories from his Orthodox Christian first wife, who was also a physicist. After his early publications he divorced her and married a European Jew. Whatever the truth is, Einstein is not a Semite, but a European Jew.
