Bishop Johan Bonny of Antwerp, Belgium, is pressing ahead with his plan to ordain married men in 2028. Several married candidates are already being prepared for possible ordination. “I trust that an appropriate regulation can be found by the end of the synodal process in autumn 2028,” Bishop Bonny told Herder Korrespondenz, according to katholisch.de (September 28).
