Cardinal Baldassarre Reina, Vicar General for the Diocese of Rome, refused permission for the Catholic funeral of Bruno Battisti D’Amario, a guitarist and senior figure in Italian freemasonry. D’Amario, who died on August 5 aged 88, was known for his collaboration with Ennio Morricone and played guitar on famous soundtracks including A Fistful of Dollars, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, and Once Upon a Time in the West. His funeral had initially been approved at Santa Maria in Montesanto, Rome’s “Church of the Artists.” After his death, however, the Grand Orient of Italy revealed that D’Amario had held significant roles within freemasonry. He had founded a Roman lodge, composed the organization’s official anthem, and held several senior positions. Church officials had allegedly been unaware of his Masonic involvement when approving the funeral. After the information emerged, the basilica’s rector, Archbishop Antonio Staglianò, referred the matter to Cardinal Reina. Following consultation …نور
This should not be news. It’s news because of the new normal in the Church. Everyone gets a funeral, everyone is saved. That’s not what Christ taught and died for.
Called By Name: Fr. Patrick Suh on Mobilizing Parishes for Priestly Vocations "If vocations depend just on me, we're never going to get any." Fr. Patrick Suh joins CatholicTV to share how the Archdiocese of Newark invited parishioners to actively call forth future priests. How do we cultivate a culture of vocations in our local parishes? Fr. Patrick Suh, Vocation Director for the Archdiocese of Newark, sits down with CatholicTV's Jimmy Reynolds to discuss the success of the Called By Name campaign. Fr. Suh shares the providential origins of the initiative—prompted by Cardinal Joseph Tobin—and explains how it launched on Good Shepherd Sunday. Rather than leaving vocation efforts solely to the diocesan office, the campaign empowered families, friends, and fellow parishioners to identify young men in their pews who possess the qualities of a good shepherd. With over 500 unique nominations submitted, Fr. Suh details the next steps: personal invitation letters from the Cardinal, St. Andrew's …نور
Fr Marek Balawendar gives a reflection on how the Incarnation became the Cross at the Annunciation, though came instant by the communication of God’s message to Mary by Angel Gabriel. Not by power or force rather by humility and love The "Stable" (Wood) where the Magi saw the Baby Jesus points to the Wooden Cross at Calvary where Jesus was Crucified. The ’’FIAT’’ of Mary at Annunciation includes suffering which she did not know until revealed by Simeon’s prophecy and manifested at Calvary. The Annunciation is the fulfilment of the Cross At the Annunciation Mary gives Flesh to Jesus which in turn gives humanity Salvation on the Cross. The Cross helps us to say yes, to understand others, ourselves, etc The Cross and Annunciation teach us hope. The cross is not the end, after the cross comes Resurrection. On August 6, Pope Leo XIV appointed 15 new consultors to the Dicastery for Religious, headed by Prefect Sr Simona Brambilla. The new consultors comprise two bishops (Alfonso Vincenzo Amarante and Kevin Otieno Mwandha), five priests, including one abbot (Ignasi Fossas, Damián Astigueta, Maurizio Bevilacqua, Benjamin Earl and Flavien Mambueni), two religious brothers (Antoine Kazindu and Emili Turú), and six religious sisters (Chiara Lorenzato, Maria Nirmalini, María Rosaura González Casas, Mary Lembo, Patricia Murray and Maria do Disterro Rocha Santos). Leo XIV has again appointed liberal, synodal figures, illustrated by these four personnel choices. Less Uniformity in Liturgy, More Creativity Indian Sister Maria Nirmalini, A.C. was a member of the Synod on Synodality (2023) and hoped for “liturgical reform, particularly of the Mass with less emphasis on uniformity and more on creativity.” In the same VaticanNews.va interview she demanded “inclusion of women in all leadership/decision …نور
Feast day of St. Philomena - August 11th. ~ Feast day of The Assumption - August 15th; declared an infallible dogma by Pope Pius X11 in 1950 through 'Munificentissimus.Deus'. ~ (The most bountiful God.)
Sadly, most Catholics are now "Conciliar Catholics." And since Conciliarism is an ever-evolving religion its tenets are constantly being updated. But make no mistake, Conciliarism is Satanically driven and Satan's ultimate goal is to destroy the Catholic Church. Faithful Catholics know that will never happen, but the authentic Catholic Church will suffer greatly as Rome moves further away from the truth through Synodality. And while the role of the SSPX is still unclear to many, all should recognize that it is the only priestly organization celebrating the TLM that adheres exclusively to the authentic teachings that pre-dated Vatican II. The most revealing clue as to its legitimacy, however, is that the SSPX is the only priestly organization that the Conciliarists in Rome regularly attack and work to destroy. There are relatively few Catholics who assist at the SSPX Masses, but as Jesus told us, when He returns He expects to find very few who have not loss their faith.
Brigitte Stegemann was an 83-year-old great-grandmother and a Christian. On July 10, she died through Canada’s Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) program in Ontario. Diagnosed with terminal Stage IV stomach cancer, Stegemann had wanted to die naturally. But while her granddaughter and longtime legal representative, Brigitte Kranendonk, was away on vacation, medical personnel discussed MAiD with Stegemann. She was subsequently deemed capable of choosing MAiD despite allegedly being unable to answer basic questions about her own family. Canadian Catholic News reported that Kranendonk said her grandmother had originally rejected MAiD but was persuaded to request it during her absence. When Kranendonk returned and asked her grandmother whether she really wanted to die, Stegemann’s reaction was heartbreaking. “I’m supposed to die on Friday? They want to kill me on Friday?”, she reportedly asked through tears. Her family says she later repeatedly expressed regret, telling them she had made a …نور

Friday, 8th August 1913 Bits of Circumstantial Evidence, as Viewed by State, Strands in Rope, The Atlanta Georgian Atlanta Georgian August 8th, 1913 By O. B. KEELER. They call it a chain that the State has forged, or has tried to forge, to hold Leo Frank to the murder of Mary Phagan. But isn't it a rope? A chain, you know, is as strong as its weakest link. Take one link out, and the chain comes apart. With a rope, it's different. Strand after strand might be cut or broken, and the rope still holds a certain weight. Then might come a time when the cutting of one more strand would cause the rope to break. The point is, the finished rope will sustain a weight that would instantly snap any one of its several strands. Bits of Evidence Threads. And that is what the various bits of circumstantial evidence might better be called—strands or threads. Edgar Allen Poe, in "The Mystery of Marie Roget," has nearly exhausted the philosophical phase of accumulative circumstance and its relation to …نور
WHAT DOES CARDINAL BURKE SAY IS MOST NEEDED FOR MARRIAGES TO THRIVE? | SG News Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke has issued a powerful call for Catholics to courageously defend the sanctity of Holy Matrimony and the family, even when faced with ridicule, rejection, or cultural pressure. Preaching at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse, Wisconsin, during the Feast of St. James the Greater, the cardinal urged the faithful to embrace what the Church has long described as "white martyrdom"—a life of faithful witness through sacrifice rather than bloodshed. Reflecting on the Christian vocation to holiness, Cardinal Burke emphasized that marriage is not merely a human institution but a sacred sacrament rooted in Christ's sacrificial love for His Church. Referencing the enduring teachings of St. John Paul II and the continuing discussions surrounding Amoris Laetitia, he encouraged Catholic families to remain steadfast in the Church's teaching on the permanence and dignity of marriage. …نور
The Prophetic Vision of Pope Pius X. In this video we share The Prophetic Vision of Pope Pius X. Saint Pius X can be considered a hero in the fight against modernism. Thus, his fight is relevant to our days since modernism is a remote version of progressivism. A complete description of progressivism can be found in the prophetic documents of Saint Pius X against modernism. Giuseppe Melchiorre Sarto, who became Pope Pius X on August 4, 1903 died on August 20, 1914. Pius X is known for vigorously opposing modernist interpretations of Catholic doctrine, promoting liturgical reforms and orthodox theology. He was beatified on February 17, 1952 by Pope Pius XII and canonised on May 29, 1954. During an audience for the general chapter of the Franciscan order in 1909, the Pontiff appeared to enter a trance. Those present remained motionless and silent. After a few moments, Pius opened his eyes, rose from his seat, and cried, "What I have seen is terrifying! Will I be the one, or will it be a …نور

The Trump administration is crafting a new nuclear strategy aimed at giving the president more “credible” options to use short-range tactical nuclear weapons in a regional conflict with Russia or China, NBC reports. The doctrine is being shaped by Pentagon policy chief Elbridge Colby, a long-time advocate of expanding the role of tactical nuclear weapons. His argument is that smaller, lower-yield warheads could be used against battlefield forces and military targets rather than cities. That distinction sounds reassuring until you get to the obvious problem: once nuclear weapons are treated as usable battlefield tools, the line separating conventional war from nuclear war gets much thinner. Critics warn that broadening their role could normalize nuclear weapons use and lower the threshold for escalation. China has accused Washington of "normalizing" nuclear use on the battlefield, warning that the US push for tactical nuclear weapons completely underestimates the risk of retaliation …نور
Oh! So much to say about this beast. So many things I warned about. They either happened, was confirmed by their own forked tongues or in the making now. But I will waste my time because they still defend the beast with the forked tongue. Most of us already know he is a beast with a forked tongue. The rest will have their little bubble burst in their face soon enough.
