Further examinations will need to determine how he suddenly left the road. He sustained a dislocated hip, as well as fractures to his pelvis and elbow, and spent some time in intensive care on Sunday. The diocese has confirmed that he is conscious and able to communicate. Upon learning of the accident on Sunday, Bishop Gerard de Korte of Den Bosch immediately called Mutsaerts. De Korte stated: “He remembers absolutely nothing about the accident.
